Young's Market in T'Ville will be celebrating the 100th year of operation of their National Cash Register. "The little old lady of Taylorsville street" Very nearby is a lovely well-maintained campground with hot showers, nice facilites, on the river. Grassy sites lots of room. Resident deer and Turkey and raccoons I suppose. I visited Philip Hyde's son David there in T'ville in October and did some serious leaf-peeping. Relatively close to the world famous Williams Loop on the Feather River Route, for those in training.
Local Historian "Bronco" volunteered some raconteuring.
David Hyde might do a tour of "Rough Rock" his home and the center of operations for his Photographer father Philip Hyde and now David. Web search for Philip Hyde is worthwhile. He was the most published photographer in the Sierra Club Exhibit Format "Battle Books" of the 60s and 70s. His work has the stuff of mastery and magic.
Dogs are friendly in T'ville. Barn Quilts abound. Pesky Moskies are gone by Octobrrr. Excellent coffee at the store.
Chili may be cooked without permission.
Your attending? Perhaps you meant you're attending...you asked for it, Alf!
EGAD! Busted by the moderator again for my poor grammer. Grammer wasn't really THAT poor. I spoke with my language skills consultant, Juan Mowtime and here's the revision, Juan Mowtime:
I have it on good authority that the official birthday party is 1 to 5 pm on Saturday. So keep that in mind and let me know if you are attending by poking the rsvp thingy at the top of the page.

Life just reared its ugly head and cancelled my plans for this trip. See you in November.
Gene
So no soup for you? Sorry you won't be there Lee and Bronco will be devastated, even the dog will be sad. <CR>
BREAKING NEWS THIS JUST IN FROM ... T'ville is a dog friendly town. Barb the camp mom said well mannered dogs are welcome at the CG, no extra charge, but must be on a lead or tether while in the CG (county rule) So pooper scooper and bags and a leash. Deer rifle season will be over by then so you can leave the flourescent protectives at home or not. <CR>
C'mon Volks, only FIVE coming? Sign up today, bring your dog, your wine, your firewood, your smile, your cash, and do it up right, or do it upright. The T'ville fall colors tour could be an annual event for all sorts of Volksy folk. This is the premiere year for the legendary gathering of the Busses by the Creek in T'Ville. The squlls are guarding their nuts as I write. Be there or be absent cause everbody's gotta be somewhere, why not T'Ville?
<CR>
Gene, Sad you won't be there
Bring wood, bring wine, bring your woolies! It looks like we finally have appropriate fall weather settling in. I, for one, relish wearing my fleece once again. OK, well, that's a stretch. But bring the sleeping bag.
<CR>, Westywoman, Lois, Shari-G, Rick&Liz and Kay Nine Five? Do let me know by rsvp if you're coming. Crispness awaits. Keep Clam and Flannel-on.
I know it's hard to clam on but do your best.
