The Historic Feather River Railroad route runs on the opposite side of the river from the campground. Trains climb and descend the grade at all hours-you will be falling asleep to the rumble of the diesel engines and the squeal of steel wheels on the tracks. If you have never driven through the Feather River Canyon, it is a real treat!

Those looking for hot springs can find them a couple miles up the road. Formerly known as "Woody's", the Feather River Hot Springs are now associated with an RV park and cabins. I think you need to call to make a reservation.

The Twain Store is walking distance from the campground and has ice, ice cream, deli items, breakfast and lunch, beer and much more.

Comment by westywoman (Melissa) on March 19, 2021 at 8:29am: Thanks for the head's up John. I fixed the link, there is yet another owner for the hot springs. And yes, it is rustic and smelly, you can smell the sulfur from the road above as you drive by.
