Event Description

Annual Motorcycle, VW Bus and friends campout, Finnon Lake (near Placerville) CA. Saturday night dinner included.

Overnight campout: Saturday, April 24th, 2010 starting at noon.

Friday: Earlybirds are welcome to camp Friday for an extra $10.00. No activities planned.

Saturday: Dinner is included but all attendees must RSVP via email to twaddlefest@gmail.com by April 21st., because we need to give the café an accurate head count. Dinner is some sort of pastas (meat or veggie options), mixed salad and French bread. Excellent local beer and wine is available for purchase at the café (highly encouraged!). BYOB for during the day and for after dinner; optionally share the keg of microbrew for an extra $5.00 (Pay Gene) During dinner, please purchase your beer and wine at the café.

Sunday: You’re on your own for Sunday breakfast. The café will open at 8:00 am and Gene will lead a ride down to Sweetie Pie’s at 10:00 am. Anyone needing more Foothill time is welcome to linger.

Cost: Only $20 each for camping and dinner. (cheap!) Please bring $20 in cash. We will hand you a meal ticket.

Bring: Tent, bag, pad, chair and coffee mug. Interesting and/or vintage motorcycles, VW buses, dogs and children welcomed and encouraged.

Deadline: You can sign up or cancel until the 21st.
(Please don’t sign up and then decide not to show up without at least letting us know!)

Directions: Hwy 50 to Placerville, left onto Hwy 49. Hwy 49N to SR193, turn right on 193.
Go 3 miles to Rock Creek Road (1 mile after crossing American River Bridge).
Turn right Rock Creek Road. 10 miles up to Finnon Lake on the left side of the road.
Turn left onto the road just to the left of the café. Look for tents and stuff on the far side of the lake.

There are several VW Camper Family folk attending, and we would like to see YOU there too!

It's a great time, a wonderful, wide-open campground and the food is swell. Plus, there is a lake to fall into after you have had too much to drink!
