Greetings. Come celebrate the arrival of Spring and the Equinox. Open your doors, pop the top and dry out from a Winters nap. Blind wine and/or beer tasting. Casual munchie/potluck food fest for Saturday. My first event. Changes to follow as required. Location not yet set but I'm lookin'. See ya there
One more tid bit then I'll leave yinz alone. The gate to the campground gets locked at 10 pm. One side of the entrance is the gate. The other side of the entrance has those tire spike thingy's so one can always get out.
Looking forward to our first event with the VW Camper Family. Anything special the newbies need to bring??
Glad you can hang out. Bring a chair, a log and your favorite tasty beverages. I'm doing burgers with fixin's on Saturday. Picked up some hot dogs also. If ya want to bring some type of food product, cool. If not I got ya covered.
Just to put it out there and I'm just sayin', we like non-amplified music and non-propane lanterns. So dust off that 'ol acoustic guitar or harmonica and bring some subdued lighting. Most of us use oil lanterns.
You'll have fun
As far as coming from the Bay should I still get off on N. Livermore, or is there a better route to avoid the aforementioned road closure?
Oh yeah...and I guess I'll leave the marshall amp and my new 20,000 cp lantern at home :)
You could get off at South Vasco, turn right on Tesla (Vasco ends here) and then left on Mines road.
I know that N. Livermore is going to be backed up. The closure is only for one block but it's near the town center. I'd advise anyone coming the Bay to look at a map of Livermore.
If anyone wants the easiest way, albeit a bit longer, as Richard stated, get off on Vasco. Stay to the first right on the exit heading south. Continue down that road until it Tee's into S.Livermore. Turn right, heading westish and about 1 1/2 miles, Mines road will be the next traffic light. Turn left.
This route basically takes you around Livermore and circles you back in. Sorry.
If anyone needs groceries , ice or tasties before heading to the Park, the First Street exit has a Safeway.
The alternative is getting off near the airport and head down to Concannon road. This will Tee into S.Livermore. Turn right and Mines road is the next light. Turn right onto Mines road.
Google maps makes it easier.

I need to add that S. Livermore and Tesla are basically the same road. I think the name change comes where Vasco tee's into it. No worries. It's easy.
There is a Lucky's store on Concannon at Holmes for those coming in by the airport
Can't wait to meet you all! :) As mentioned, we won't be there until Saturday morning. If we can't check in early, we'll just take a little hike, then put the baby down for a nap in the van. See you soon!
