Join us in the scenic and historic Feather River Canyon at Hallsted Campground in the Plumas National Forest.
We have a full house. ALL SITES HAVE BEEN RESERVED as of May 17. There is one non-reservable site you can take a chance on. Otherwise, check the comment wall to see if someone wants to share. The recreation.gov link is below:
The Historic Feather River Railroad route runs on the opposite side of the river from the campground. Trains climb and descend the grade at all hours-you will be falling asleep to the rumble of the diesel engines and the squeal of steel wheels on the tracks. If you have never driven through the Feather River Canyon, it is a real treat!

Those looking for hot springs can find them a couple miles up the road. Formerly known as "Woody's", they are now associated with an RV and cabin establishment. I think you need to call ahead and there is a $5 fee. Details here:
Any one interested in sharing a site with me? I will not be able to get there until Saturday and may choose to stay through till Monday. There are still a couple of spots left so I can get my own spot as well.
Susie, you can have half of my spot. It will be very sunny, though, as there isn't much tree cover there. But that might not be an issue this year.
Probably need to start a little chatter since the next 7-8 weeks will fly by.
I checked my res and i'm from thursday thru sunday. I booked thursday night but will only be able to bolt from here early friday morn.
Site 16 has electric and is thirty bux a night. Partial shade. Nice site actually.
Will share. Deets can be worked out later.
Peace,
~RL
Hey John. I will take you up on your offer if it still stands. Thanks!
Regis, you can always cancel the extra night and get all back but your $9 res fee.
Susie Q, we're looking forward to you joining us! Sharing a site with John is highly recommended, he is a very accommodating host. Site 10 is sunny, be prepared to deploy your awning!
Hey there, WW. Nah, I'm all good. Two yrs ago I left on an early Friday morn and wasn't sure if the campground host would let me in before check-in time. He did and all was well. But, my head tells me to just pay for the Thursday night. I kind of enjoy leaving Liverpool at 4:30 on Friday morn to enjoy the sunrise as I drive east bound on up through the Feather River canyon to the CG. Just my hang up.
I was kinda diggin' the munchie table concept at the ,JLT 50 yr Celebration GTG.
I think I'll bring some type of real appetizer for Saturday's food fest.
This is a link to the Campground site. Second paragraph states a small store on site? What's that?
