Event Description
Our annual escape from Superbowl Madness. It will be our usual set-up .... wine, food, companionship (bring the wine and bring or buy the wood). Also, musical instruments are welcome, and maybe we can jam a little.
Friday night is pizza night ... bring your little Coleman camp ovens or use ours, and make and bake an 8" pizza. (You provide ingredients, of course.)
We used to hold: the legendary 'Soup or Bowl' competition, featuring any dish that can be served in a bowl (soup, chili, or whatever). But the people who ran that event have moved away. We can still do the "Soup or Bowl" as a potluck. Or some volunteer wants to step up and run it. Let me know what y'all want to do.
Party Central will be spot #4. As usual, it will be rain or shine, and if it's rainy, the Tent of Doom and the Annex of Despair will help keep us all dry.
Three more things: Be aware that there are wild critters (raccoons, feral cats, etc.) that will go into any open camper that you're not around. So be sure to keep your doors closed.

Third, the Solano County Parks reservation system is now reservation only, and the registration window closes two weeks before the event. So get your reservation in early!

Welp. In years past, folks would bring a soup or chili or stew or something to be used with a bowl. A judged contest determined a 1, 2, 3, place ribbon along with "fabulous prizes". Recently, the contest portion has subsided and we ended up with a pot luck. Last year, the Soup-or-Bowl almost didn't happen for whatever reason(s). We had a , munchie madness, table of which folks brought finger foods , cheese plates, potatoes salad, chips, etc, for Saturday night, around 4 pm, due to available daylight. The event was an impromptu affair that was successful. So.. to echo John, perhaps we have a pot luck.

I am trying to make reservation for two days, but it does not allow the senior ticket, that is not good! So I planning (1) just to drivee out there and find a "first come" spot OR (2) find somebody who wants to share a spot. If you have one, please let me know. You can share my spot, if you like. But I don't know why they won't allow a senior discount. You might try phoning them to have them walk you through the process or at least be informed about the glitch.

Levente Martelyi - if it's your first time there as a senior they charge you full price and you show your ID to the ranger when you arrive. Then they refund the senior discount and it's on your record going forward.
If it's not your first time and you already have the senior discount logged, then their system is broken. I did get my expected senior discount.
