Event Description
We are going back to Sandy Beach in Rio Vista, CA. This is our annual practice run and food fest before Thanksgiving. Reserve sites soon as they may go fast if the sport fishermen/women come back this year.
NOTE: Party Central has been changed from spot #17 to spot #3, just across the road from where we usually set it up.

Gene, after further discussion with JLT offline, we both think going with the traditional whole bird is the best course. He can fit a turkey up 14 lbs whole on his grill, but a spatchcocked turkey will only fit up to 10 lbs. So shoot for a 13.5 to 14 lb max gobbler and we'll go with that. My two cents.

Its a little known fact that eight out of ten turkeys interviewed , preferred not to be spatchcocked after passing on. Just passing the information on.

Note: Party Central has been changed from spot #17 to spot #3. (More room for the Tent of Doom there.) That means that I'll be releasing spot #17 to whomever wants to cough up the $40 to me and claim it for yourself. If there are no takers by November 1, I'll cancel it, but that means that if you reserve it, you'll have to pay the nine dollar registration fee.
