I must admit that if there's a good chance of rain on Sat, I really don't know if we will attend.   Don't think the better half will want to deal with it.  So as it stands, we'll make a corporate decision in the next couple days.  Hopefully the rain gods will reconsider and just move on.

and that "chance" is for Light Rain from 12:00 noon, until 3:00pm. It's a perfect time for a little nap while the light rain falls and gives us some amazing smells of clean! .... I'm looking forward. We have an awning on the bus, people are welcome to come bring a chair and get out of the rain for a small while!!

Hey guys - I got word that people are calling and worried because the answering machine says they don't open until Memorial Day, so:

Let me explain that further - the campground is closed to the general public until Memorial Day. But Ranger Chris opens the campground Friday morning JUST FOR US. It's secret! It's special. Don't ruin it. If you call, the answering message will say it's not open until memorial day. If you show up the Wednesday or Thursday before, they will not be open. Please do not call the campground or show up before Friday. We've been doing this for 6 years!!!! Trust us. The campground will be open on Friday. There will be space for you. Jokes will be told. Campfires will be fanned. Guitars will be tuned. Beer will be shared. Just stop calling the campground - please!

Tom and I are leaving Los Osos this morning, after several stops we will stay at Sandy Beach for the pre-party warm up. See ya around 1200 or 100 tomorrow at school house canyon.

I just looked up the Weather Underground forecast, and they're saying that the mid-afternoon chances for rain are 25%, tapering off to 4% by sunset. So I don't think the Tent of Doom will be necessary (and there's not much in the way of a clearing to pitch it, anyway.
