THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS RESERVATIONS FOR THIS EVENT.
Let me explain that further - the campground is closed to the general public until Memorial Day. But Ranger Chris opens the campground Friday morning JUST FOR US. It's secret! It's special. Don't ruin it. If you call, the answering message will say it's not open until memorial day. If you show up the Wednesday or Thursday before, they will not be open. Please do not call the campground or show up before Friday. We've been doing this for 6 years!!!! Trust us. The campground will be open on Friday. There will be space for you. Thanks!

Campsite - first 2 people and 1 vehicle - $35/night
Extra people $5 per person/night
Extra vehicle $5/night
Dogs $5 - no Pit Bulls or aggressive dogs/night
RV or Trailer Up-charge $15/night
Late Checkout Fee $5 per person
Day Use / Visitor Fee $5 per person or dog
Electricity $7/night
Seasoned Firewood Bundle $6
Hot Shower just 25¢ per min.
Forms of payment: Cash only
*All Prices Subject to County Occupancy Tax
ADVENTURER AWARD
We will be announcing the winner of the Schoolhouse Canyon Park / VW Camper Family "Adventurer Award". The award will be awarded to the bus that drives the most miles between Bus City 7 and Bus City 8. Buses must be present at the campout in 2016 (and had to be at 2015) to win!
Also Schoolhouse owns 30 acres across the street and a private beach just for the campground. It's just a five minute walk down the river trail. So bring your swim suits!

Rain or shine Syd and I will be there, that's why we have a van isn't it?
40% chance of rain for like 2 hours Saturday and partly sunny sounds like perfect CA weather to me. Hiking in the redwoods after a brief rain with sun breaking through the trees is awesome.

Sorry we have to bail but 2 dogs and plans to bring the grand daughter don't mix well with rain and thunder storms so hope it is a great event like always.

For people arriving Saturday, be aware that there's a bicycle race going on in the area, and some travel routes may be affected. The maps of where the race will be held can be found at:
The area map is at the bottom of the page, although if you're planning to go through Santa Rosa, you'll probably want to refer to the others as well.

Had a good time, folks. We do rock.
As I left the central campfire area, I noticed that there were still a few articles left there: an orange plastic milk-crate type box, a green Polarfleece-ish blanket, a small mouse (toy), and a pen. I'll bring them to Trainspotting. If they aren't claimed there or via this forum, they're mine. All mine! All mine!

We had a good time too. Met some new friends and had a good time with some old ones. LOL Great posters and magnets too. The weather was perfect. Thanks again to School House for opening early for us all!! :D
