Event Description

The campground is closed to the general public until Memorial Day. But Ranger Chris opens the campground Friday morning JUST FOR US. It's secret! It's special. We've been doing this for 6 years!!!! Trust us. The campground will be open on Friday. There will be space for you. Thanks!

Simply RSVP here so we have an idea on how many might show up and then show up! No worries!

For those of you who have been, you know why you come back.

Rates are here: http://schoolhousecanyon.com/Rates.html

We will be announcing the winner of the Schoolhouse Canyon Park / VW Camper Family "Adventurer Award". The award will be awarded to the bus that drives the most miles between Bus City 9 and Bus City 10. Buses must be present at the campout in 2018 (and had to be at 2017) to win!

Also Schoolhouse owns 30 acres across the street and a private beach just for the campground. It's just a five minute walk down the river trail. So bring your swim suits!

since it is said that 'life is short, eat dessert first', why don't we bring desserts?...and then, eat dessert before dinner and just don't tell our moms ;-0

I plan to bring some smoked salmon.    Now, what camp site should I go for? Too many choices  LOL

Current forecast for Guerneville is low 70's.  Yeah baby!!

Does anyone know if they will be allowing campfires this year.  Wife swears that last year, no fires were allowed.  Hmmmm

Comment by Doug Vincent on May 13, 2018 at 11:01am

We had fires last year.... I can't imagine it would be any different this year!

Hey Peeps, super excited to make it out! I must have missed this but are there water and electrical hook-ups at the sites? Thanks in advance.
Comment by Gene Burris on May 13, 2018 at 5:38pm

There are a few electrical camp sites. First come first serve. Be prepared to go with or with out electricity.

Ok thank you Gene.

Is there any particular site which typically becomes the "Party Central" site.  Maybe I want to be very near or very far away from it.   Hmmmm.  LOL!!

Craig - generally 1 fire is too small for everyone to gather at. So there are usually 3-4 "gathering" spots. It just sort of happens as neighbors meet neighbors.
