For those of you who have already polished off the Holiday shopping by the well known avoidance method (Christmas Goose), a tidy bit from the Fawlty thinking of JC.

http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/John_Cleese

To Wit:  The avoidance  has to do with the subtle Christmas Goose, often found in crowded mixed company encounters with the people our parents warned us about during the Holodaze.

At the proper time and place I shall demonstrate the construction and consumption of piggy dippers.  Coming to a campsite near yours.

Looks like the proper time is Friday, the proper place is Site 20, now under Geezer Power.  Gotta luv that Geezer Card!  99c coffee all day all your kiddlies can handle at Denny's!  The mystical Cowboy Coffee will be available for the brave.  Firewood (kiln dried construcktion leavings) will be hauled.  One of the legendary Bluesmobile tripods will be available for xroxing.  Check deltablues.net to see how to make yer own.  Ifn I have time some of the killah syncro salsa will be available.  Pineapple flavored Napalm.

I just booked campsite #40. #42 wasn't open ... did one of us get it?

And of course I'll share. Maybe I can persuade Tom and Idell to give us another try.

I'm in # 42. I'll share.

UpDate....

Cane Rattler has graciously offered up a (an?) cast-iron prize for the Chili cook-off , in addition we will be throwing down / in, a $25 gift certificate for Van Cafe of Santa Cruz. Now for all you who weren't interested in competing you might want to rethink digging out those recipies...

Philip & Diana

PS. Bummed, we'll miss you big, Blake & Shelby

A friend gave me a family recipe that has been handed down that he told me not to share.

OK... tasted my first large batch of chili... wow... I like! I will kick up the spice slightly, has a slight spicy taste that lingers after the fact, just not enough kick for me.

No worries.  I'll be sporting a bottle or two of El Tapatio.  Yummy heat

Piggy Dippers at Site 20 on Friday? Shall I bring along some of this year's Spicy Asian Plum Sauce to augment the dipping extravaganza? Are we talking Spam dippers?
