Regis, You can click on the "Fellow Bussers" tab on the top all the way to the right. It has a list of all members and shows who's online.

Not a comment but an observation. When I log on to the site, How do i see who else is on? So far I look in the chat window. Is this the case? Also will I get a pop up window when others log on or do I keep checking the chat window? No big just wondering.
So...are ya going to open the flood gates and try to get people to migrate over? It seems like there was a lot of action in the first week or so, and then it died down...
Was out of town and wanted to get the welcome page at www.VWCamperFamily.com up. Home and done. Floodgates open.

I will be watching this all week to make adjustments if needed.

That was a good persuasive intro to this that you wrote, and highlighted a few things I overlooked. It does seem that the yahoo group is reaching a point where too many things are overlapping and it's getting somewhat confusing, so I think this site has come at the right time.

I am down with it. That's a good thing. Yahoo worked fine for me but this has more eye-candy. So far, I have successfully added events to the calendar, uploaded photos and replied to threads. Not bad for an old burro!
Another thing I like about this forum is I don't have to read and or delete content that is not camping related, such as engine rebuilds, brake calipers and the like. There are many other VW forums for those discussions. I hope we can stay on track with local VW camping related topics.

Gee, I was just going to mention that I've been having this whine coming from my drive train lately and was wondering if anybody .....

OUCH! OUCH! STOP HITTING ME!

Note that I have left Peter an opening where he can crack wise about a "whine train" ... he's always said that if you pitch it slow, he'll swing at it.
LOL! You got me!
I am playing with this, as requested. :-) So, why do we have to be a member of a "group" to comment on or add content, to, say for example, California Campsite Reviews, Camping Gear Reviews, or whatever. Is there a way to open this to all members, like in the forum? I think it is grand but I am a bit confused by this.
I believe it has to do with getting email replies. I think you can set it so you get replies to group topics and whatnot, as well as emails about when a new thread is started. That way, you can keep up on new info pertaining to one subject.

Romy's right. The way this is set up by the nature of it is that it allows for subgroups. You have to become a member to comment or add posts. I think the main reason is that as there are more and more groups added, you can follow the ones you want and ignore the rest.

Brett told me there isn't a way to be notified when a new topic is started. If there is then I'd like to know too.
