Event Description
Camping along scenic Highway 70 in Twain, CA. Fall asleep to the rumbling of the trains, soak in Woody's Hot Spring nearby. Hallsted Campground (NFS). Site 13 is home. Reservations are available at www.recreation.gov. Type in Hallsted. Many folks are willing to double up. June 4 update: Booked so far are: 7-15 and 17-19. Recommend 20. Avoid 16 if you want privacy.Raffle of prizes and potluck Saturday afternoon-evening.

Nice locomotives! There is a RR museum in Portola but you'd want to add a few days to your TS trip to visit over there. I plan to go someday, maybe this fall.

Had to pull the motor in MiMi tonight to replace the throw out(up) bearing and figured I'd replace what was left of the battery box. Should be back together Wednesday night.

I am probably going to continue onwards northbound from Trainspotting.
However, one of my more distinguished friends (not at all like me) would like to attend Trainspotting. Is there anyone who could give her a ride back to the Bay Area? She is good company and has plenty of great stories.
