Event Description

Saddle up Volks!

VWCF is going to the foothills near Lake Oroville at Lime Saddle Campground. This place is beautiful this time of year whilst it's still green and the wildflowers are out. Soon after, this place is parched and HOT. LS is fairly new, with flush commodes and showers. There's a nice short trail amongst the oaks with an explosion of wildflowers. If you have a boat there's a marina nearby.

The old VWCF adage holds - Bring firewood. Bring tasty beverages. Bring a friend. Have fun.

It looks like I'll be there after all. Debra has been able to do the eye-drop thing herself, and friends have volunteered to be on call if she needs anything else.

I’ve been sick since Thursday of last week. Bad enough that I went to the ER. I was feeling better, so I was hoping to make it up there. Last night I had a relapse, so I have to cancel.
I was looking forward to seeing you all again. 😞

I had several fun activities planned, along with a Dutch oven dessert.

I noticed a coupla sections that would be good for group gatherings with site(s) being in close proximity. We were a bit spread out for this one. Nothing too bad though. Anywho, what's not to like about camping ?
