Peaceful camping in the historic foothills!
Join us for a relaxing camping experience at this secluded campground.
The sites are on a gentle slope with mixed oak and conifers. Sites are spaced fairly well apart. Bathrooms are new and clean. Coin Showers are available.
The campground is only a short 1 hour and 10 minute drive from Sacramento.
Reservations at Reserve California here.

Indian Grinding Rock State Historic Park (IGR) is located in the Sierra Nevada foothills 12 miles east of Jackson, CA. The park nestles in a little valley 2,400 feet above sea level with open meadows and large valley oaks that once provided the Native Americans of this area with an ample supply of acorns. There is a museum and Native American village here to tour. Several easyish nature trails provide views of the park and wildlife.
I have to work Friday so I won't be there until around 6:00 pm. :o(
I can't drink adult beverages either, as I'm on meds for back spasms.
What a bunch of gimpy campers. I will bring some booze for Regis though.
Not sure if Percocet and wine go well together...
Sheesh!
Maybe we'll have a better turnout next year, as word gets out about what a great time camping we all had!
Nothing like the smell of fresh air and the rain dripping off the trees...
I can't wait!
No booze fer me. Im , On the Wagon. Yeah, volks. I said it.
Don't try to think about it as an Event. Repurpose this weekend as a Shout Out!
You posted that a weekend GTG is open for anyone that wants.
If they come, they come. If not, then not.
No harm no foul.
I'm bringing the trailer . I'll have plenty of tarps and wood. I'll be having the camping experience most others only dream about.
Come one, come all.
Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.
Is that, a haiku?
Ill be there around check in time or a bit earlier. I'd like to explore the Park or Ruins or Museum or whatev.
Not sure if I'll end up in site 11 or 9. Depends on the layout for shelter.
I'll be there tomorrow morning. Still having a little trepidation about camping so soon after dental surgery, but I'm giving it another day to settle down.
Just arrived in pine grove to stop at the store. CG is just up ahead.
