There continues to be highway construction and related delays in the Feather River Canyon/Highway 70. Check 511.org before you travel. SR 70 is currently closed. There will also be construction on I-80 west of Truckee. The campground is only available from the east by way of Quincy (70/89) or Greenville (89).
The Historic Feather River Railroad route runs on the opposite side of the river from the campground. Trains climb and descend the grade at all hours-you will be falling asleep to the rumble of the diesel engines and the squeal of steel wheels on the tracks. If you have never driven through the Feather River Canyon, it is a real treat! The weather can be variable in June.

Those looking for hot springs can find them a couple miles up the road. Formerly known as "Woody's", the Feather River Hot Springs are now associated with an RV park and cabins. I think you need to call to make a reservation.

The Twain Store is walking distance from the campground and has ice, ice cream, deli items, breakfast and lunch, beer and much more.
The camp host should have firewood for sale.
You can tour the Seven Wonders of the Railroad World in Plumas County:
Welp, another one for the books. And another warm one. The creek was a river. There appears to be a new host. She makes sure everyone is comfy. We had table full of food on Saturday. Lots of tasty's. It was a bit warm for a campfire . Plus, the host was out of wood as well as the Twain Store. But the ice cream was still cold. There were four German vehicles. One couple chose tent dwelling. And that one guy was there who keeps popping up at these things. I dunno about him. Anywho.. it is always good to get out there with like minded peoples, new and old, of all flavors. Go Camp, for Camp Sake. I'll attempt to post pics. ~R
