Indian Grinding Rock State Historic Park (IGR) is located in the Sierra Nevada foothills 12 miles east of Jackson, CA. The park nestles in a little valley 2,400 feet above sea level with open meadows and large valley oaks that once provided the Native Americans of this area with an ample supply of acorns. There is a museum and Native American village here to tour. Several easyish nature trails provide views of the park and wildlife.

8:44 in the AM. Peekingthrough the curtains I see blue sky and some sort of large yellowish blinding light thingy. Dunno how long it will last but the Crew is prepared for come what may. Well, March in this case. May is still a ways off
May might be the ideal time to visit that place.
Thanks Regis and John,
Had a great time!
