Join us in the scenic and historic Feather River Canyon at Hallsted Campground in the Plumas National Forest. The campout will feature tie-dyeing and a potluck dinner Saturday.
Please Note: All sites have been reserved as of 5/19. You will need to arrange a share if you do not have a reservation. See the comment wall for a list of known campers and sites.
There are National Forest Service free campsites nearby as well as camping at the Twain Store, both within walking distance. The link to the Hallsted campground where the campout is being held is in the header above.
The Historic Feather River Railroad route runs on the opposite side of the river from the campground. Trains climb and descend the grade at all hours-you will be falling asleep to the rumble of the diesel engines and the squeal of steel wheels on the tracks. If you have never driven through the Feather River Canyon, it is a natural and cultural resource treat!

Those looking for hot springs can find them a couple miles up the road. Formerly known as "Woody's", they are now associated with an RV and cabin establishment. I think you need to call ahead and there is a $5 fee. Details here:

Bring wood, bring wine!
What happens if I just show up? Will the sheriff chase me off if I park near by?
Gee, Doug, I don't know. I certainly won't tip them off to you.
There may always be a cancellation you can pick up on. If not, there's always the Twain store, and it's a fifteen-minute walk away from where we are.

"Come share a space with me or my family! I have reserved 19 and 1. One of these is near handicap near the bathrooms, and is the family space (19). The other is away from the bathrooms and is my space (1). So, you are welcome, whom ever... and how ever many....Caveat...beware of the extremely happy family...."
LoisAnn has asked me to coordinate for her, so if you want to share one of her sites, please just post on this wall and I will add you to the list.
Tie Dyeing!
LoisAnn has volunteered to bring tie-dye supplies: BYO shirt, shorts or whatever fabric article you want to tie-dye. We'll plan to do this Saturday.
LoisAnn wrote: "I have enough supplies so that everyone can tie-dye. It was a great success at Syncrofest2014. I have pillowcases and washcloths but people should bring their own too! I plan on asking for donations to reimburse supplies so that I can keep doing this, and I'd like to donate any extra donations to the non-profit Feather River Land Trust: http://www.frlt.org/"
Doug Sornberger can share #18 with me, if he can drag his self and van to the campground. Don't bring the Sheriff!
OK Gene, I'll take you up on that. Will let you know if I can't make it.
I will update the list as arrangements are made.
As of this writing, TheWeatherChannel is calling for low-mid 80's with upper 40's.
A tad better than the century mark degree daze of last year, huh?
We don't know who has reserved 04, 09, 12, 14 or 17.
