The Historic Feather River Railroad route runs on the opposite side of the river from the campground. Trains climb and descend the grade at all hours-you will be falling asleep to the rumble of the diesel engines and the squeal of steel wheels on the tracks. If you have never driven through the Feather River Canyon, it is a real treat!

Those looking for hot springs can find them a couple miles up the road. Formerly known as "Woody's", they are now associated with an RV and cabin establishment. I think you need to call ahead and there is a $5 fee. Details here:

The Twain Store is walking distance from the campground and has ice, ice cream, deli items, beer and more. The camp host will have firewood for sale.

Sophie, Corey and friend will be in site #13
Their reservation/map systems to be 404 right now, but I'm hoping to get slot $15 when it comes back on. I'll let you know.
They have "updated" the reservation web site. You need to establish a new password for your existing account (if you have one). Take your patience with you when you try to log in. And persist!
He persisted!
That I did. I'm now logged into the new system, but they're still not showing the map. I'm trying to remember if #15 comes before or after #13 if you're driving counter-clockwise along the loop.
15 comes after 13 if you're driving counter-clockwise around the loop. 15 is a nice site. Next to the back trail to the Twain Store.
I'm in #15. Can share.
Joe- Any chance Richard from Bristol would join us here as your friend?
Sadly, we are not due for another British invasion until Soup-or-Bowl Sunday.
We will be there in Site 7. So happy to be able to make it this year!
