The Historic Feather River Railroad route runs on the opposite side of the river from the campground. Trains climb and descend the grade at all hours-you will be falling asleep to the rumble of the diesel engines and the squeal of steel wheels on the tracks. If you have never driven through the Feather River Canyon, it is a real treat!

Those looking for hot springs can find them a couple miles up the road. Formerly known as "Woody's", they are now associated with an RV and cabin establishment. I think you need to call ahead and there is a $5 fee. Details here:

The Twain Store is walking distance from the campground and has ice, ice cream, deli items, beer and more. The camp host will have firewood for sale.

Hi.
Tried to make a reservation, but there's no map of sites. Will have to wait for the site to fix it.
Thanks,

Ralph-
If you want electric, book 16 or 12 or 4. They are all really nice. If you don't want electric stick with 3. 3 is near where the loop begins, on they highway side. 4 is positioned similarly. 12 and 16 are at the other end of the loop. I doubt they have renumbered the sites. They just seem to be overhauling the website.
Just made our reservation for site #12. Love this place and looking forward to spending time with all. Kathy & Mike
I'm in Site 3.

Hi all:
Can anyone post the info on the mountain biking trails that leave from Twain?
Hi.
Sorry but I won't be able to make it up there to Trainspotting this year. I have to work that weekend. I cancelled the reservation for Site #3, so it should be available on Reserve America.
Hope you all have a great time!

Super sorry to hear that, Ralph! You will be missed.
Looks like we have a much smaller group than in past years. This makes a group potluck less desirable. Is anyone determined to have one? I'm not.
