Join us in the scenic and historic Feather River Canyon at Hallsted Campground in the Plumas National Forest.
We have a full house. ALL SITES HAVE BEEN RESERVED as of May 17. There is one non-reservable site you can take a chance on. Otherwise, check the comment wall to see if someone wants to share. The recreation.gov link is below:
The Historic Feather River Railroad route runs on the opposite side of the river from the campground. Trains climb and descend the grade at all hours-you will be falling asleep to the rumble of the diesel engines and the squeal of steel wheels on the tracks. If you have never driven through the Feather River Canyon, it is a real treat!

Those looking for hot springs can find them a couple miles up the road. Formerly known as "Woody's", they are now associated with an RV and cabin establishment. I think you need to call ahead and there is a $5 fee. Details here:
I will be posting soon, can't reserve until 60 days out... and yes you are invited!
Jamez: the poster is wonderful! We are a family-friendly group here in the Gold Country Campers. We usually have a few more kids at our events, it's just the way it works out. And by family-friendly, I don't mean that political nonsense. Please keep your eye on the event page, you are welcome back anytime! Thanks to all who made it, especially Dan from Seattle (!) and and a special thanks to all the first-timers, there were a bunch of you! Thanks for obeying Rule # 1: Be nice! Rule # 2? See #1. Cheers, Melissa.
@ Bruce...You're not gonna let that go are you? :)
I had a great time, good eats, good peepes! This was definitely my favorite campground so far. I can't wait to see y'all again.
Hurray for Melissa aka westywoman! ... great event ... lots of fun ... incredible items from Stephan, Van Cafe, GoWesty & others ... fantastic food ... and special thank you to Scott for sharing his spot with Elena and me ;-)
Awe man, and I had to miss it. Did anyone take pic's or was it one of those, ya-had-to-be-there moments. A few of us sometimes have to live vicariously through the life of others. Help a brother out?
Yep. It's been a while since we last broke bread.
Randy, I was thoroughly impressed by your headlights, and your pulling power, you passed me like I was standing still.
