The Historic Feather River Railroad route runs on the opposite side of the river from the campground. Trains climb and descend the grade at all hours-you will be falling asleep to the rumble of the diesel engines and the squeal of steel wheels on the tracks. If you have never driven through the Feather River Canyon, it is a real treat!

Those looking for hot springs can find them a couple miles up the road. Formerly known as "Woody's", they are now associated with an RV and cabin establishment. I think you need to call ahead and there is a $5 fee. Details here:

The Twain Store is walking distance from the campground and has ice, ice cream, deli items, beer and more. The camp host will have firewood for sale. It is customary for us to have a group potluck dinner on Saturday -TBD.
Most likely have to come up there on Saturday. Possibly bringing a salad of some sort. It won't have to stay in the cooler too long.
Drive fast and take chances. ^j^
Regis If Sydney wasn't with me it would be head out the window, Ski goggles on mouth open, and pedal to the floor.
Doug may have made the decision for me... Cider is one of this 1/2 aussie's weaknesses...
Look's like work is going to get me again, have to be there tomorrow :( Hope you all have a wonderful campout, and I really hope to see you all again soon
I'm a van with no plan...
I don't have a site, so I'll try for #9. this evening.
Otherwise, I'll be living in a van down by the river :)
Brian.
My thanks to everybody who showed up. We had a grand time, and the weather was cool and mostly fair (we had some rain this morning, and I even went through a short hailstorm on my way down the mountain). I hope to see y'all again real soon.
Susan, Daisy and I had a lovely time - this is one of my favorite camp-outs!
See you all next year!
Thanks to the Crew, and Melissa for organizing us all together!
Sydney and I love Twain and hanging with all of you!
Thanks Melissa!
It poured for 24 hours Sunday after you all left in the rain, hail and sleet. Then I followed the stormy weather as I headed northward into Oregon. That was the "coolest" TrainSpotting EVER! Thanks to all of you for making it such a fun campout.
