Join us for George's 42nd Birthday at Live Oak Recreation area. Camping is $15/night (not as cheap as two years ago, but still pretty cheap). Day use is $5/day (still pretty cheap) if you don't want to camp but want to visit us on Saturday and share the cake. Niello Volkswagen Presents Bugorama #71. The Sacramento Bugorama is like no other VW event in the World. We open the gates on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. to allow for overnight camping, swap meet set-up and test & tune for the drag racers. Sunday is the main day of the Bugorama. Train Spotting will return in 2013. We will be going back to the Feather River Canyon-Hallsted Campground in the Plumas National Forest. Hallsted has been refurbished and "improved" with new bathrooms with showers (!), a second path to the river, 7 sites now have electric hookups, sites are shifted around, there are new site furnishings, etc. There is also one pull-through site for a large RV. If you can do it (and not get charged for it), try to add me as a second vehicle to your slot. Otherwise, we'll just sort it out when we all get there. What complicates things is that the park doesn't assign you a specific campsite until you get there, but I expect that Ralph will tell the rangers how many people we have coming, and ask to have a group of adjacent campsites set aside. We'll see.
