Join us in the scenic and historic Feather River Canyon at Hallsted Campground in the Plumas National Forest.
We have a full house. ALL SITES HAVE BEEN RESERVED as of May 17. There is one non-reservable site you can take a chance on. Otherwise, check the comment wall to see if someone wants to share. The recreation.gov link is below:
The Historic Feather River Railroad route runs on the opposite side of the river from the campground. Trains climb and descend the grade at all hours-you will be falling asleep to the rumble of the diesel engines and the squeal of steel wheels on the tracks. If you have never driven through the Feather River Canyon, it is a real treat!

Those looking for hot springs can find them a couple miles up the road. Formerly known as "Woody's", they are now associated with an RV and cabin establishment. I think you need to call ahead and there is a $5 fee. Details here:
Hallsted Campground has 20 sites. All are reservable except No. 9 which is is kept available for last-minute campers. Reserve early to assure yourself of a spot! 8 of the 20 sites have electric hookups.
Im in with site 16. It has power also. I was going to grab 13 from you but let's juggle it around for a while. I'll buy it from you if no one else chimes in. There are always last minute interested volks. huh?
I'm in #8 Hope there is water in the river this year :)
Lucky #7 - booked.
Good news from Laura, Kris, Ric and Gene! So glad everyone is excited about TS once again. 11 sites booked as of December 15. Crazy!
Ric- the Feather River Canyon is a beautiful scenic drive- arrive during the day and keep your eyes on the road!
The sites are big enough to double up, and I'm certainly willing to share mine. And I got the geezer rate.
I'm sharing with Gene...
Bruce will share # 18 with me.
